The Southbridge Tech Incubator, the first Central Mass. South technical co-working space, is now accepting lease applications.

The space is already home to medical device firm Optimum Technologies and pharmaceutical company ExtruPharm.

The incubator was founded by Randal Chinnock, who is also the founder and CEO of Optimum Technologies. He describes himself as a 40-year veteran of the medical device industry.

Chinnock could not immediately be reached for comment.

According to a flyer advertising an open house from 4:30-7:30 p.m. March 14, the building at 114 Pleasant St. was constructed in 1928 for use as a school. It was renovated in 2013.

The fully-equipped and furnished two-level, 9,000-square-foot building is waiting for startups looking to do the development and manufacturing of medical devices, life science instruments and other devices.

The space offers eight furnished labs ranging from 266 to 679 square feet each. The space includes a 378-square-foot clean room, four offices at 96-square-feet reach and another 207-square-foot office.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this story misidentified Randal Chinnock's first name as Robert.
