Clark University will offer two new certificates in health informatics and educational leadership this fall.

The Worcester university's School of Professional Studies has also reduced the requirements needed to obtain a master's degree from 12 to 10, the school announced in a press release.

The program in health informatics will be introduced to help supply the talent pipeline for the industry expected to grow 15 percent by 2024. The certificate includes four courses and will enable students to explore data analysis tools and gain insight into health care information technology and management.

The six-course educational leadership program will help educators and administrators at all levels build competencies in leadership, participative decision-making and educational policy development and analysis. The program is designed to prepare educators for the changing educational landscape.

Either certificate can be earned via online or hybrid courses. Credits can be applied to respective master's degree programs.
